Have you heard of shadowmarks? If not join the club. Until recently I thought that those weird engravings on the side of buildings were just random and didn't really have a meaning, then I ran into this picture on Pintrest and it changed my life (in Skyrim.)

It turns out that those "random" marks actually left behind by the Thevies Guild.

1. Guild member-This is the symbol for the Guild. This means the place is as safe. If you see this shadowmark, someone from the Guild is nearby for certain.

2.Sanctuary or Safe-The Theives Guild usually leaves this symbol behind when they've scouted and found a safe way around something, a hallway without traps or maybe a house that's already cleared out. If you see one of these, head the way it's pointing and you'll be fine.

3. Enemy or Danger-If you see this shadowmark, head the other way or take your life in your own hands. It means there's something ahead or beyond that door that wants to turn you inside-out.

4. Escape Route-Now, on the rare occasion that you find yourself in jail and you see this shadowmark, escape is just a few steps away.

5. Protected-The Theives Guild places these in areas that they don't want you to go because they are under The Guilds protection and should never be assulted or robbed.

6. Fence-This means that a person nearby will buy your stolen goods for a fair price.

7. Theive's Cache-If you see this that means the Guild has left a little surprise for it's members and is yours to take.

8. Valuable Loot-Something nearby is worth stealing.

9. Nothing of Value-You should most likely pass this place up because there is absolutely nothing of vale here.

That's it for todays post and as always, I hope that it helps you along your way in your grand adventure.
